Lesson Activities
- Research the Caribbean Carnival celebrated by people from Jamaica, Trinidad, and Tobago. Write an advertisement to promote the carnival that captures its mood, vision, and excitement. Add visuals and color. Be sure to include the music, dance, and costumes and what these symbolize for the revelers.
- You work at the St. Lawrence Market and a food critic is coming to visit. Write down the sample meal you will serve and instructions for the waitstaff. Add any final touches to help your guest understand the cultural significance of the market.
- Ontario has over 200,000 lakes while the host’s home state only has 2 lakes. Create a Venn diagram or T-chart to compare the climate, weather, and lifestyle of each place.
